Chimpanzee Sanctuary
A project of the Chimpanzees Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT), Ngamba Island provides a permanent, loving home for over 40 orphaned chimpanzees — animals for whom a return to their natural habitat is no longer possible.
The island spans approximately 100 acres, with 98 forested acres separated from the visitors' area by an electric fence, where chimps roam freely throughout the day.
